The Women's Fund of Central Ohio 2014 Grant Partner

We’re so excited to share the news that Girls on the Run of Franklin County has been picked as one of the 2014 Grant Partners of The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio!  We’re so honored and thrilled that our community has again nominated our group to receive grant dollars that we can utilize in our program! We will be able to support 60 girls for the spring 2014 season with these funds.  Thank you!

From The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio’s blog:

Over the past 12 years, The Women’s Fund has awarded 153 grants, investing in economic self-sufficiency for women,  leadership for women, and lifeskills for girls.

This year over 150 women and girls gathered together to make funding decisions, recommending the best social change programs for women and girls in central Ohio. This is an important and powerful role. Grant Readers are your voice at the table, making decisions about which programs promise needed social change for women and girls in our community.

Group gets fifth-graders out of ‘girl box,’ on their feet

Kae Avenue Elementary School is reaching out to preteen girls this
spring with a new program aimed at combining physical fitness and
character development.

The program, called Girls on the Run, is relatively new to the Columbus
